Post-Graduate Merit Scholarship 2015


Higher Education plays vital role in the development of nation. To emerge as a powerful nation, there is an urgent need to bring in talented boys and girls in the field of Post-Graduate education by way of providing them good incentives in the form of scholarships. The University Grant Commission UGC introduced a Post-Graduate Merit Scholarship Scheme for University UG rank holders.
Post-Graduate Merit Scholarship is given for a period of two years to enable the rank holders of each university at postgraduate level to pursue their Master’s Degree. All universities would be required to issue rank certificates to the toppers of the university in B.A., B.Sc., and B.Com. The purpose of Post-Graduate Merit Scholarship is to attract talent for pursuing post graduate studies. The awardees of Post-Graduate Merit Scholarship can pursue their Postgraduate programme in any area of specialization in any institution of higher learning in the country.

K.C. Mahindra Scholarship


The K.C. Mahindra Scholarship is given for Post-Graduate Studies as an interest-free loan of up to Rs. 200,000 to deserving graduates who are interested in pursuing post graduate studies. Preference for K.C. Mahindra Scholarship is given to students interested in pursuing subjects those is not readily accessible in India. The eligibility criteria for K.C. Mahindra Scholarship is that applicant must possess a First Class Degree and be admitted to a foreign university. List of selected students is announced in leading newspapers across India every January. For K.C. For Commonwealth Scholarship for pursuing post graduation one should hold or able to produce the certificate of Bachelor’s Degree by October, 2015 in the concerned subject field securing 60% or above marks in Humanities and Social Science group and 65% or above marks in Engineering and Technology, Science and Agriculture Group. Also the candidates who wish to undertake postgraduate study in Business and Management Studies should have taken the graduate management admission Test before applying for the commonwealth Scholarship. Candidates whose native language is not English will be required to provide evidence that they have sufficient in English.
