Central Sector Scholarship Scheme


Central Sector Government Scholarship Scheme (CSSS) given by the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Department of Higher Education, Government of India. This scholarship scheme is given to 82,000 students who are pursuing Graduate and Post Graduate studies in Colleges and Universities, and who are pursuing professional courses like Engineering, Medicine etc. This scheme is for the students who have passed Senior Secondary examinations. The scholarship will be given for Science, Commerce and Humanities streams of the Boards. The Scholarship for the students will be given only on merit basis. At Graduation level students will get Rs.1, 000 per month for the first three years of the College. Rs.2, 000 will be awarded for the Post Graduate courses. Students pursuing professional courses will get Rs.2, 000 per month as scholarship in the 3rd and 4th year of their studies. Kishore Vigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY)


Kishore Vigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is a program sponsored by Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. Selection of the candidates for Kishore Vigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is based on academic performance, excellence, demonstrated skill.

(a) Stream SA

Students who enrolled Class XI in science subjects and must have secured 80% (70% for ST/SC) marks in aggregate in Maths and Science subjects in the X class Board's Examination.

(b) Stream SA- Mentoring Scheme

Students who enrolled for Under Graduated courses (B.Sc./B.S./Int. M.Sc./ M.S.) from list of stream SA, their fellowships will be activated.

(c) Stream SX

Students who enrolled XII standard in Basic Sciences (B.Sc/B.S. /M.Sc. /M.S.) are eligible. Students who secured 80% (70% for ST/Sc) in aggregate in Maths and Science subjects in class X are eligible for this scholarship.

Scholarship Amount
Students selected in SA stream will get monthly scholarship of Rs.4,000 and an annual contingency of Rs.16,000. Students selected in SX/SB stream will get a monthly scholarship of Rs.5,000 and annual contingency of Rs.20,000. LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme


Life Insurance Corporation of India is sponsoring a scholarship scheme for students economically backward families who are pursuing for higher studies. Students pursuing courses in ITI, Vocational courses through Government recognized colleges/institutes are also eligible for LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme. Students who have secured 60% of marks in Class XII exam are eligible for this scheme. To get the LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme the parents income should not exceed Rs.1, 00,000. The student must secure 60% marks in X class Board's exam.

The selected candidates for LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme will get Rs.10,000 per year which will be payable in ten monthly installments of Rs.1,000 each through a Bank Account opened on the name of the candidate. Selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of their performance of the student in XII class or X class Board's exams, family back ground, annual income of the family. Students with lowest family income will be given preference for this scholarship. Only one candidate in a family will be given scholarship.
