Minor communities in many countries face many problems like lack of equal opportunity and power. Indian constitution avoids this situation by giving them reservation. Both state and central government and private funded institution help the students to achieve higher education. Scheme of Merit cum means based scholarship is for the students belonging to minority communities. Every year 20000 scholarships are provided to the students of minority communities all over the country. This distribution of MOMA Scholarship 2015 is based on the state-wise population of these minor communities. Under MOMA Scholarship 2015 financial support will be given to pursue degree or post graduate level technical and professional courses from a recognized institution. Maintenance allowance will be transferred directly to the student’s account while course fee will be paid by the State Department directly to the institute. Students having secured at least 50% marks at higher secondary level belonging to minor communities who get admission in technical or professional courses are eligible for scholarship. Continuation of MOMA Scholarship 2015 scholarship in further years will depend on successful completion of the course during the last year. The annual family income of student applying for MOMA Scholarship 2015 should not be greater than Rs.2.50 lakh. The state department will advertise the scheme of MOMA Scholarship 2015 every year latest by 31st March and receive the application through the concerned institutions. The application for MOMA Scholarship 2015 for release of fund from the state department must be received in the Ministry by 30th of September every year. 30% of MOMA Scholarship 2015 will be reserved for girls of each minority community.

Selected candidates for MOMA Scholarship 2015 will be given maintenance allowance of Rs. 10,000/- for hostler students and Rs 5000/- for day scholars. Under MOMA Scholarship 2015 course fee also will be paid of Rs.20, 000/- only or actual, whichever is less. In this way hostler students will be given Rs. 30,000/- and day scholar Rs.25, 000/- per annum. Maintenance allowance under MOMA Scholarship 2015 will be paid from 1st April or from the month of admission, whichever is later, to the month in which the annual examinations are completed. If the student take admission after the 20th day of a month than the amount of scholarship will be given from the month following the month of admission. The Government of the State to which they belong will pay the scholarship money to the selected students for MOMA Scholarship 2015. MOMA Scholarship 2015 will not be given for the internship period in the M.B.B.S. course or for a practical training in other course. Students belonging to minor communities should fill the application form for scholarship in the prescribed format and should affix one copy of the passport size photograph with signatures on application form. Candidates should attach one attested copy of all relevant certificates diploma, degree etc. in respect of all examinations passed by them. Applicants also have to attach income certificate by the self-employed parents stating definite income from all sources by an affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper. Employed parents or guardians of the applicant of MOMA Scholarship 2015 are required to obtain income certificate from their employer. Candidates also have to attach a copy of permanent residence.

Application for MOMA Scholarship 2015 completed in all aspects shall be submitted to the Head of the Institution.

The Scheme of MOMA Scholarship 2015 will be implemented by the State Governments and Union Territory Administrations. Administration will receive 100% central financial assistance from Government of India for the total expenditure under the scheme. Applications complete in all aspects along with all relevant documents in the prescribed format should be submitted to the Secretary of the minority welfare department of the concerned State Government through the institutions where the students are pursuing professional courses. The student must submit their applications to the state which he belongs to and not to the state where the institution where he is studying.
